How to Plan Lessons Fast with the BINGOBONGO English Curriculum

Planning lessons can often be a time-consuming process, but with the BINGOBONGO English Curriculum, you’ll have everything you need to prepare fast and efficiently. Whether you’re working with mixed-level classes or focusing on a specific skill set, BINGOBONGO Learning makes lesson planning a breeze. Here’s how you can streamline your lesson preparation while maximizing your teaching impact.

Why Planning is Easy

Planning lessons with FUNbooks is easy!

Organized FUNbook Structure

BINGOBONGO’s FUNbooks are designed to be easy to follow. Each FUNbook level is organized into 10 units, with 4 lessons per unit, offering 40 lessons in total. This setup is ideal for schools running a one-lesson-per-week system, leaving room for events, special lessons, review sessions, and extra activities like STEAM crafts or programming projects. Check out the full course outline here.

Comprehensive Coverage for All Levels

With 10 levels and 400 lessons spanning the entire curriculum, FUNbooks are designed to cover all essential language skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—in a format that’s easy for students to understand and engage with. The level/unit organization of each book combined with countless supplementary resources allows teachers to effortlessly integrate FUNbook worksheets into lessons, ensuring that students stay on track with consistent, structured learning.

Supplementary Resources at Your Fingertips

In addition to the FUNbooks, the FUN!box and GoZone provide tons of supplementary resources, both physical and digital. You’ll have access to unit songs, vocabulary posters, chants, online flashcards, and interactive digital games, all designed to complement the core curriculum. These resources are organized by unit and worksheet, making it simple to find what you need in seconds.

Start Using the BINGOBONGO English Curriculum in 4 easy steps

using funbook

1. Choose the Right FUNbook for Your Students

The first step is selecting the right FUNbook for your class. Each book is designed to be used for approximately two years, making them great for mixed-level classes. If you’re unsure which book is best for your students, check out our course outline or feel free to drop us a message for recommendations.

2. Prepare the Worksheets for the Lesson

Once you’ve chosen your FUNbook, the next step is preparing the worksheets. You can use tools like the At Home Challenge Cards, Hybrid Lesson Planning Cards, the FUN!box, or the GoZone to quickly find and organize supplementary resources. We recommend using the GoZone, where you can pin and save lesson activities or choose from our recommended resources. Want to master the GoZone? Check out our free GoZone Masterclass for a comprehensive guide.

3. Decide Your Lesson Routine

A strong routine is essential for creating good study habits and maintaining classroom focus. A typical lesson might start with door talk, a quick warm-up, and then move into sticker time or a unit song. We also recommend including a rotating activity, such as ASK Card review, Battle Eggs, or the unit song, followed by the core content from the worksheet. Not sure where to start? Check out a full sample lesson here to see how we structure our lessons.

4. Continue the Learning at Home

With resources like mini lessons and At Home Challenge Cards, you can easily extend the learning experience beyond the classroom. These can be printed and stapled to homework or accessed via QR codes on the FUNbook pages. Once students get into the habit of studying at home, you’ll have more time in class to focus on fun and interactive communication activities!
